Striptease in Vienna

This is the second illustration for Euro RSCG in Vienna. The illustration is for an ad for a dental bleeching company.

Some birds never fly

A little bird died in my hand today. I found it in the gutter badly hurt. Some wings never get the chance to be tested. That's sad.

Nasty alterations

Can a client alter your image after it's ready and delivered without asking you?
Some clients seem to think so. I don't know if they feel embarrest after asking you for small corrections 37 times.
Personaly I don't have much problems with my artistic integrity. The client is the boss when you are a commercial illustrator. Visualizing your customers needs, thats the game.
But what about the artistic work?
I feel that the artistic about illustration is interpreting. If you want full artistic integrity be a painter or a sculptor.
So what's the big deal if a customer alters an image?
It's about control, the control of your own name. Next to your picture is your name. If the image got altered without you knowing it, the picture is not yours anymore, but your name still stands there.
Most clients respect this. It's common sence. But every now and then it happends.

Entering the comfort zone

I made this image for an article about the time when the passionate love ends and a new time occurs.

Motorshow illustration

I made this image for the Evening Standard, London. It's for a "how to get there" article for a motorshow in London.

New blog for news.

I just moved my news to a proper blog. This is going to be fine, I hope.
